Women, Infants and Children Nutrition (WIC) is a nutritional program helping pregnant women, new mothers and young children practice good nutritional health by providing financial support to help purchase healthy foods, such as infant cereal, fruits, vegetables, milk, eggs and whole-grain breads.
WIC also helps participants learn about good nutrition and develop healthy living and wellness habits.
Eligibility
For women who meet certain nutritional guidelines as established by a doctor, nurse or nutritionist; must be an Alaska resident and pregnant or breast feeding, or have children under the age of five living in the home.
