Anchorage & Rural Youth Services

arysAnchorage Youth Services (AYS) and Rural Youth Services (RYS) are year-round life skills training programs for low-income Alaska Native and American Indian youth, ages 14 – 21, who live in Anchorage, Chickaloon, Eklutna, Knik, Ninilchik, Salamatof, Seldovia or Tyonek.

Participants pursue high school completion or their GED, explore career options and job-shadowing opportunities, and receive vocational and apprenticeship training, while learning vital employment skills through supported work experience with CITC community partners, among other employment opportunities.
