The Tribal Training Grant provides short and long-term certification or vocational training to Alaska Native students residing within the Cook Inlet region for job enhancement and/or to gain employment.
As a needs-based grant, funds are awarded on a first-come, first-completed basis. The program is not intended to cover the full cost of training.
* Due to limited funding, no more than two awards will be given per person in a lifetime. Funding will not to exceed $500 and is based on availability.
Eligibility
Alaska Native and American Indian students residing within the Cook Inlet region for at least 30 days prior to start of training; students are required to submit a Certificate of Degree of Indian Blood (CDIB/CIB) from the Bureau of Indian Affairs and proof of tribal enrollment.
