Get Out The Native Vote to Host Candidate Forums for U.S. Senate and House

Four Q & A sessions during next two weeks will focus on issues important to Alaskans

CITC affiliate Get Out the Native Vote (GOTNV) will host a series of special, virtual U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives candidate informational forums beginning Monday, Oct. 19.

Candidates will answer questions related to Alaska’s economy, healthcare, resource development, climate change, and other issues important to Alaska Native voters. Each candidate will have an opportunity to answer the same set of questions and share with voters where they stand on top issues facing our communities.

GOTNV Candidate Forum Schedule:

Dr. Al Gross – October 19, 10 – 11 a.m.
Sen. Dan Sullivan – October 22, 3 – 4 p.m.
Alyse Galvin – October 26,12:30 – 1 p.m.
Congressman Don Young – October 28, 2:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Get Out The Native Vote is a non-partisan 501c(3) nonprofit organization in Alaska dedicated to mobilizing Alaska Native and American Indian voters and promoting civic engagement. GOTNV was acquired by Cook Inlet Tribal Council in 2020.

Vote at CITC:
Cook Inlet Tribal Council and GOTNV will jointly operate an in-person absentee ballot polling and drop location on the first floor of the Nat’uh Service Center at 3600 San Jeronimo Drive in Anchorage. The polling location will be open seven days a week for all eligible voters, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.  Oct. 19 – Nov. 2.
