CITC’s Schoolyard after-school program is currently accepting ASD-enrolled Alaska Native/American Indian students ages 12-19 for the fall semester.
Housed in CITC’s Youth Empowerment Services department, the program focuses on STEM, culture, academics, and SEL learning and is open 9 a.m. – 5:30 Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Students participate in a daily “Power Hour” where they spend time on homework and have the opportunity to create STEM-related projects in CITC’s Fab Lab. High school students earn a half an elective credit for every 120 hours of attendance.
Schoolyard also offers camps throughout the academic year during winter, spring, and summer breaks.
