JOM Offers Free Tutoring Assistance

The Johnson O’Malley Education Program is pleased to announce that Alaska Native/American Indian students enrolled in ASD (grades K-12) may be eligible to receive assistance with tutoring. The JOM tutoring program normally occurred on-site at select ASD schools. Due to the pandemic, there are limited spaces to hold tutoring as it was held in the past.

To bridge the gap left by these limited spots, JOM is offering tutoring assistance funds. Students may apply for tutoring assistance through our JOM Student Activities grant application and will be able to recruit and select a tutor of their choosing. The JOM program would pay up to $300 of the invoice provided by the tutor/tutoring agency (such as Sylvan Learning or a vendor of the parents’ choice).
