It is open to people of all cultural backgrounds and there is no cost to attend. \nParticipants will receive comprehensive education on healthy life skills and sexual health and also presented with various opportunities to earn gift cards and appropriate incentives throughout the implementation of the lessons. \nYouth will gain valuable knowledge and skills that will empower them to make informed decisions regarding their health and well-being. The program offers a supportive community where they can engage with peers who share similar experiences and concerns. DESCRIPTION:Learn and practice powerful\, life-saving skills in this four-hour safeTALK training. It is free to the community. During this safeTALK training\, you will learn to recognize when someone is thinking about suicide and how to connect them to safety. \nSafeTALK is a 4 hour\, in-person introductory training on recognizing suicide symptoms\, keeping the person safe\, and getting them to resource. SafeTALK events are made up of 4 contact hours (plus breaks). \nsafeTALK is not recommended for anyone who is actively grieving a death by suicide.
