SUMMARY:ASIST Suicide Prevention Training
DESCRIPTION:Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) is an intensive two-day training (from 8:30-4 pm both days) on how to hold a suicide intervention. ASIST is an evidence-based program that offers tools for the average person to identify and have a conversation with someone at risk for suicide. It’s an essential tool for those who work with both youth and adults at risk for suicide\, but it can be a great resource for empowering you to help those you care about in your personal circle.  \n\nASIST is an intensive 16 hour\, in-person training on recognizing symptoms and conducting an intervention. Everyone can learn the skills necessary to keep someone safe. You must attend both days of this training.\n\n**ASIST is not recommended for anyone that is actively grieving a loss from suicide.  \nTo begin the first step of the registration process\, log onto EventBright link and choose the training you are interested in and register.

DESCRIPTION:Healthy Relationships classes are held weekly for individuals enrolled with our Child & Family Services programs. Our Healthy Relationship class is now being offered in-person\, on-site at CITC. \nClasses are worth one credit; to complete programs\, participants must take a total of 12 Parenting Education or 8 Healthy Relationships classes. Classes held in the same week cover the same material\, so attending multiples of one class (e.g.\, two Parenting classes in one week) will not fulfill the credit requirement — although parents are welcome to repeat classes for additional support.
