ANJC’s pro se legal clinics help people understand and navigate the legal system. Our clinics place knowledge in the hands of participants and supports them in effectively advocating on their own behalf. \nWinter/Spring 2024 virtual pro se clinic series: \n\nDivorce/Divorce with Custody: learn how to fill out and file divorce or divorce with custody paperwork with the Alaska Court System. \nChild Custody for Unmarried Couples Clinic: learn how to fill out and file custody paperwork with the Alaska Court System. \nDomestic Violence Protective Order (DVPO) Clinic: Step-by-step instruction about what a protection order is and how it works\, how to complete the necessary forms\, and how to file with the Alaska Court System. \nStalking Clinic: a presentation to help professionals and community members identify what stalking behavior looks like and ways it can add to a person feeling intimidated\, unsafe and lead to threats as well as interpersonal physical violence. It also gives ideas and advice on how to support those who are experiencing stalking and may want to file a Protective Order against their perpetrator.                                            \nProtecting Elders from Financial Abuse (Elders) Clinic: A pro se clinic targeted to help Elders obtain protective orders against different forms of financial abuse\, fraud and scams.  \n\nPlease see the schedule below for exact dates and times\, and to register. ANJC’s pro se legal clinics help people understand and navigate the legal system. Our clinics place knowledge in the hands of participants and supports them in effectively advocating on their own behalf. \nWinter/Spring 2024 virtual pro se clinic series: \n\nDivorce/Divorce with Custody: learn how to fill out and file divorce or divorce with custody paperwork with the Alaska Court System. \nChild Custody for Unmarried Couples Clinic: learn how to fill out and file custody paperwork with the Alaska Court System. \nDomestic Violence Protective Order (DVPO) Clinic: Step-by-step instruction about what a protection order is and how it works\, how to complete the necessary forms\, and how to file with the Alaska Court System. \nStalking Clinic: a presentation to help professionals and community members identify what stalking behavior looks like and ways it can add to a person feeling intimidated\, unsafe and lead to threats as well as interpersonal physical violence.
