DESCRIPTION:SafeTALK is a 3 hour\, in-person introductory training on recognizing suicide symptoms\, keeping the person safe\, and getting them to resources. \nSafeTALK and ASIST are not recommended for anyone who is actively grieving a loss from suicide. If you are currently distressed or have been recently affected or bereaved by suicide\, we recommend that you delay participating. \nSuicide is preventable – everyone can make a difference. \nIn these trainings you will become aware of cues to identify someone in need; learn tools to quickly and effectively respond\, and gather resources to help a person in need.
