DESCRIPTION:Suicide Awareness for Everyone (safeTALK) is a 4-hour training on recognizing suicide symptoms and intervening. safeTALK is an evidence-based program that offers tools for the average person to identify and have a conversation with someone at risk for suicide. It’s an essential tool for those who work with both youth and adults at risk for suicide\, but it can be a great resource for empowering you to help those you care about in your personal circle.  \n\nSafeTALK is a 3 hour\, in-person introductory training on recognizing suicide symptoms\, keeping the person safe\, and getting them to resources.\n\n**safeTALK is not recommended for anyone that is actively grieving a loss from suicide.

SUMMARY:ASIST: Suicide Prevention Training
DESCRIPTION:Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) is an intensive two-day training (from 8:30-4 pm both days) on how to hold a suicide intervention. ASIST is an evidence-based program that offers tools for the average person to identify and have a conversation with someone at risk for suicide. It’s an essential tool for those who work with both youth and adults at risk for suicide\, but it can be a great resource for empowering you to help those you care about in your personal circle.  \n\nASIST is an intensive 16 hour\, in-person training on recognizing symptoms and conducting an intervention.
