The Luqu Kenu program offers navigation services with a focus on strengthening the resources, activities, skills, and tools families need to thrive and be resilient. We value a collaborative approach, working with our internal partners at CITC and external partners in the community, to help families grow more connected, healthy, and resilient.
What We Do: Our Family Navigators use a relationship-based, culturally relevant approach to walk alongside families. We provide parenting support, cultural activities, social gatherings, referrals and connections to resources, and linkages to mental and behavioral wellness services.
We Are Here to Support Families Who:
- Want to enhance their existing abilities and strengths
- May be struggling with family safety and wellness
- May benefit from extra support due to stressors
- Need assistance connecting to essential resources
Who We Serve: We serve Alaska Native and/or American Indian families who live in Anchorage and have physical and legal custody of their children. Families will not be asked to offer proof of court documents; we simply want to confirm that children are in their custody and care.
