01 Dec Strengthening Support for Survivors: ANJC Victim Services Joins CITC
Effective October 11, 2025, the Alaska Native Justice Center’s Victim & Survivor Services has transitioned to Cook Inlet Tribal Council’s Clinical & Wellness Services division
CITC’s Victim Services Team addresses individuals victimized by violence—including domestic violence, human trafficking, and sexual assault—through a holistic approach combining case management with legal services. This realignment strengthens our ability to provide comprehensive, culturally grounded support by creating seamless coordination between legal advocacy and trauma recovery services.
SERVICES CONTINUE
If you or someone you care about needs support, our services remain available with the same dedicated team and culturally responsive, trauma-informed approach you can depend on.
Our multidisciplinary team of case managers, paralegals, and attorneys continues to provide:
- Emotional support and safety planning
- Assistance with obtaining a protective order
- Education about the criminal justice system
- Court accompaniment
- Assistance applying to the Violent Crime Compensation Board (VCCB) to cover crime related expenses or needs.
- Legal consultations, and in some cases, legal representation
- Referrals to services and resources such as:
- HousingHealth careBehavioral healthRecovery services for substance misuseEmployment
- Additional legal service providers
ENHANCED SUPPORT
This transition builds a continuum of care that addresses the interconnected nature of trauma, recovery, and family healing. Soon, we will be expanding this team by adding a full-time clinician who will provide transformational healing support.
