This event is four youth ages 10 - 24 and their families.
Unsah Jan (Dena’ina for “first day”) is the Recovery Services Department‘s
prevention and youth development program aimed at young people ages 10 – 24.
The program focuses on suicide prevention, life skills, outreach, cultural and
wellness activities for all young people, but is specifically designed to meet the
needs of Alaska Native, American Indian, and LGBTQ+ youth.
