Employment & Training Earns Three-Year CARF Accreditation

The Cook Inlet Tribal Council (CITC) Employment Training and Services Department (ETSD) is excited to announce that it has attained a 3-year accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) for both CITC’s Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) and Youth Services programs.

This accreditation decision represents the highest level of accreditation that can be given to an organization and shows CITC’s consistent commitment to the CARF standards. An organization receiving a three-year accreditation has put itself through a rigorous peer review process. To achieve this accreditation CITC demonstrated, to a team of onsite surveyors, its commitment to offering programs and services that are measurable, accountable, and of the highest quality.

CARF is an independent, nonprofit accrediting body with a mission to promote the quality, value, and optimal outcomes of services through a consultative accreditation process and continuous improvement services that center on enhancing the lives of the persons served. Founded in 1966 as the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, now known as CARF International, establishes consumer-focused standards to help organizations measure and improve the quality of their programs and services. For more information about the accreditation process, please visit the CARF website at www.carf.org.

CITC is committed to providing the best services possible while encouraging its participants to achieve their fullest potential in a patient-centered environment. CITC continues to provide TANF services such as financial assistance, job seeking skills, and supportive services and Youth Services to include case management services, internships, and job seeking assistance.

For those utilizing CITC’s services, this accreditation provides third-party verification that its programs adhere to the highest standards of care.
