Beading & Ahtna Language Workshop

Chickaloon Village is providing a free workshop for the community to learn beading and the Ahtna language. The class will be located at CITC’s Nat’uh Service Center, February 22, 5-7 p.m. in the Rasmuson Conference rooms.

These classes aim to rejuvenate the Ahtna Athabascan language for the community through Elder interviews, mentoring, and immersion instructional teaching. Our goal is to increase the number of beginning and intermediate Ahtna language speakers and all participates will have achieved increased vocabulary usage and comprehension.
