Course Summary for Participants

This empowering, hands-on workshop is designed for Adult learners reentering the workforce after long employment gaps, career changes, or legal barriers. With compassion and practicality, this course teaches how to prepare for job interviews by identifying personal strengths, building honest and hopeful responses, and practicing real-world questions.

You will discover how to present life experiences as valuable job skills, respond to challenging questions with confidence, and express readiness to work. The course includes interactive tools like mock interviews, flash cards, and simple scripts.

• Understand what employers are looking for in an interview
• Build and practice a personal “Tell Me About Yourself” script
• Learn how to address gaps, justice involvement, and lack of paid work
• Prepare honest and confident responses to common interview questions
