Feb 1, 2025 @ 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm

free

Participants will design and assemble their own clock, and learn about the basics of resin pouring and the Kaktovik numerals.

In this workshop you will experiment with Art grade epoxy resin. Resins are a type of plastic, which begin as a viscus liquid and once dry, form into very-hard very-clear plastic. Explore the many ways to color, mix, blend, cast and create with this versatile material. Discover the unique history and applications for the Kaktovik numerals invented in 1994 by Alaskan students. Design your clock face to with your own unique style using paints, Alaska themed cutouts, resin dyes, mica powders and a selection of clock hands.

All ages are welcome! We ask that youth participants younger than 16 are accompanied by a parent/guardian. All attendees must purchase a ticket.
