CITC will provide an opportunity to citizens to comment on CITC’s intent to use Indian Community Development Block Grant funding to rehabilitate Knik Corners, a 20-unit affordable elder housing development owned and operated by Cook Inlet Housing Authority. The intent is to completely rehabilitated 5 one-bedroom units, including all new flooring, painting, kitchen cabinets and appliances, bathroom fixtures, closet shelving, doors, sprinkler heads, exhaust fans, fire alarms, and replacing all existing light fixtures with LED fixtures, as well as replacing main entrance doors; modernizing the elevator; replacing the roof; replacing the aging boilers with energy efficient boilers and modernizing the boiler room; and upgrading the building key fob and access system.
