This introductory class is the starting point for the ARCTIC Workforce Certification. It creates a shared understanding of what work and employment really mean—and how expectations, systems, culture, and personal goals all shape our experiences in the workplace.

In this open and supportive space, participants are invited to reflect, share, and explore new perspectives without pressure or judgment. The focus is not on where you’ve been “wrong,” but on where you want to go and what success can look like moving forward.

As part of the ARCTIC Workforce Certification, this 30–45 minute course helps participants explore their workforce experience and goals with clarity, intention, and connection.

In this course, you will:
· Explore the difference between work and employment
· Discuss workplace expectations and how they are formed
· Reflect on personal experiences with employment
· Identify personal goals and what success means to you
· Create a shared learning community grounded in respect and relationship
