04 Aug Johnson O’Malley (JOM) Native Student Activities Program Application Now Open
The CITC-Johnson O’Malley Native Student Activities Program (JOM) supports the educational needs of some Alaska Native and American Indian students enrolled full-time in Pre-K through 12th grade in the Anchorage School District (ASD). The program provides funding to support students’ learning through tutoring, school supplies, and other resources for school and extracurricular activities. The federal funding requires that the student be any of the following: tribally enrolled, have a tribally enrolled parent or grandparent, or be at least 1/4 Alaska Native or American Indian in any combination.
Program Details
- Award Amount: $100 per eligible student
- Funding: First-come, first-served basis while funds last
Who Can Apply?
Your child is eligible if they meet ALL these requirements:
- Age 3 or older and attending an Anchorage School District (ASD) school.
- Tribally enrolled, have a Tribally enrolled parent or grandparent, OR child is at least ¼ Alaska Native or American Indian
- Grant applies to the 2025-2026 school year only
How Can Funds Be Used?
JOM funds can help cover educational expenses including:
- Classroom supplies and books
- Tutoring services
- Field trips and educational activities
- Graduation supplies
- And much more!
How to Apply
- Submit one application per family online at https://citci.jotform.com/251775695636978 (please list all eligible children on the single application – new this year to simplify the process)
- Check pickup: Families will receive notification when their application is approved, and check is ready for pickup at CITC (3600 San Jeronimo Drive)
- Bring photo ID for verification when picking up your check

- Funds are limited and distributed on a first-come, first-served basis
- New this year: one application per family covers all eligible children in your household
- New this year: All families must pick up checks in person at CITC and bring photo ID for verification
