Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) is an intensive two-day training (from 8:30-4 pm both days) on how to hold a suicide intervention. ASIST is an evidence-based program that offers tools for the average person to identify and have a conversation with someone at risk for suicide. It’s an essential tool for those who work with both youth and adults at risk for suicide, but it can be a great resource for empowering you to help those you care about in your personal circle.
**ASIST is not recommended for anyone that is actively grieving a loss from suicide.
To begin the first step of the registration process, register through EventBright.
Because of the nature of their content, ASIST and safeTALK trainings must be held in person. Trainings will incorporate social distancing and other COVID prevention precautions vetted by CITC Leadership. Trainings are held for a minimum of eight participants.
