Our Youth Services program offers support for eligible Alaska youth ages 14–24 and assists them in finding employment, furthering education, and identifying leadership development opportunities. Services include:
Our Youth Employment program provides 10- to 12-week paid internship for young people ages 14-24. Individuals gain valuable work experience, define goals, and develop the skills necessary to succeed in future careers. Interns can be placed in positions throughout CITC, as well as with outside partner employers.
ELIGIBILITY
Our Youth Services serve children and students of various ages. Some of our programs are specific to Alaska Native and American Indian students attending classes at specific ASD schools while others are inclusive of all children. Please see each service to understand eligibility requirements.
Our Employment and Training Services assist adults in achieving self-sufficiency and finding meaningful and sustainable employment as they progress through lifestyle changes. Additional services include interpersonal communication and life-skills development, job-placement and career coaching, and improving vocational and/or academic performance.
A full-service career and employment center offers access to computers, fax and scan services, online training, career assessment, job search assistance, and employment support, among other services.
Work with career counselors who assist individuals in developing professional goals and provide resume support, interview coaching, and connections to job openings and training resources.
